Jane Jeongyeon Kim
Award-winning violinist, Jane Jeongyeon Kim have charmed her audiences internationally with top-tier performance. Jane started her career at the age of 12 when she made her debut at Seoul Arts Center. Since then, Jane has extended remarkable talent to world-renowned venues such as St. Marien, Sejong Center for the Performing Art, and Carnegie Hall. Some of her appearance as a soloist include performances in wonderful accompaniment of Seoul National University Orchestra, Rutgers Symphony Orchestra (radio-broadcast, WWFM), Seoul Philharmonic, New York Classical Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Symphony Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra. Jeongyeon Kim received a lot of national attention and numerous 1st-prize awards of both national and international competitions. A few of her national awards achieved are Seoul National University Concerto Competition, Rutgers Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Sunhwa Competition, Seoul Philharmonic Concerto Competition, Seoul Symphony Orchestra Competition, Kyung-Hee Competition, Ehwa Competition, etc; some of her first prizes winnings from international exposure include NY International Music Concours, American Protégé International Competition, AFAF International Competition, , etc. Through this publicity, Ms. Kim has received invitations to perform for the Consulate General as well as the President of South Korea. Jane is well-received in her chamber music career as well. She as won prizes in collaborative music from Mason Grosso Chamber Competition and Seoul Chamber Music Competition. Her ensembles have performed in Lehmann Maupin Gallery, New York Korean Culture Center, Mozart Hall, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts,etc. In her collaboration with other ensembles, she has toured with SIA String Ensemble as a guest soloist. In love for music and her audience, Jane continues to perform in reputable venues such as Mary Cary Flagler Hall, Kumho Art Hall, Seoul Arts Center, Carnegie Hall.
She was also invited to a radio program powered by New York Radio Korea as main guest speaker for her talk, “Falling in Classic with Jane Kim” to exemplify her mind in classic to the public. Also, Jane was chosen as the youngest faculty for Sejong International Music Festival from 2012 to 2013. She played with Miriam Fried, Roberto Diaz, Peter Stomp, Robert Mcdonard, Hsin Yun Huang, Edward Arron as world-renowned artists.
Jane Kim holds her Artist Diploma and Masters of Music from Yale University with Hyo Kang, and is a graduate of distinction for her Bachelor of Music from Seoul National University. She received her doctoral degree at Rutgers University with Todd Phillips under a full scholarship with an Artist of Excellence award. Jane is a Music director of SIA:NY. also active as an Artistic Director of Society of International Artists, New York Classical Symphony Orchestra and a concertmaster of Jersey City Philharmonic Orchestra.
